The Young Men’s Wellness Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of outreach activities specifically targeted to young men who have sex with men ages 13-24. The Men’s Wellness Specialist reports directly to the Senior Director of the Pride Center of WNY who works closely with the Director of Engagement and Education to ensure the quality and effectiveness of program activities and to ensure that annual program objectives are met. Associates degree in Human Services or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years experience working with the transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual communities required; sensitivity to gender identity, gender expression, HIV/AIDS and LGBT issues is essential. Experience providing HIV test counseling and provision of Popular Opinion Leader (POL) intervention preferred. This is a part time position with approximately 15 hours per week.
