LGBTI CAREER FAIR FOR LAWYERS

ALICE – EUROPE’S FIRST LGBTI CAREER FAIR FOR LAWYERS – ALICE provides students, trainee teachers, lawyers and all those who are interested in a career in the legal field, the opportunity to the representatives of many well-known firms and companies to talk about career opportunities. Eponym of the fair is the Cameroonian lawyer and human rights activist Alice Nkom. It is committed to the only lawyer to criminalization and social exclusion of homosexuals in Cameroon. The fair takes place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cologne. Nov 19, 2016

The goal of ALICE is to connect LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Transsexual and Intersex) lawyers, junior lawyers and law students within Germany and abroad. ALICE also acts as a mutual learning platform that aims towards the continued improvement and expansion of LGBTI rights. Therefore we initiated the ALICE Summit and Network.

The ALICE Network is an international coalition of LGBTI students, and lawyers that meets on a regular basis at events throughout Germany. These events focus not only on the LGBTI legal community but also on the role of its straight allies*. Through these events, the Network aims to lend LGBTI lawyers greater visibility in the working world.
